DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:  The position is located in the Bioproducts and Biocatalysis Unit of the National Center for Agricultural Utilization Research in Peoria, IL.  This is a 2-year postdoctoral position to develop and apply automated methods to identify and optimize conditions for enzyme-catalyzed oxidative conversions of natural products.  These conditions will also be applied to produce material for subsequent materials testing using a variety of advanced techniques.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:  Recent Ph.D. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or a closely related field is required.  Knowledge of synthetic chemistry, biocatalysis and modern analytical techniques are desirable.
